When violence erupts in our communities or in our homes,
the first and most vital thing we can do is to
keep that violence from taking root in our own
minds, hearts, words, and actions.
To help keep us from joining in the violence that harms all of us—actor and receiver alike—we need down-to-earth, practical understanding and tools that actually work, both during times of crisis and in everyday life.
Because it's the accumulation of all these unrecognized, unhealed kinds of violence—not just physical harm—that's behind the worst acts of harm that are plaguing our communities and homes.

As a nation, as communities, and as individuals, few of us have ever known how to handle uncomfortable feelings, let alone harmful, "crazy" behavior, in ourselves or others.
(And let's be honest, every one of us has "completely lost it" at least once in our lives—whether that's taken the form of fight, flight, appease, or freeze.)
Even more critical, few of us have ever learned how to truly resolve conflicts and genuinely repair the harm that we do to ourselves and each other, in everyday life.
This is why it's come to this.
We can no longer afford not to understand:
*Including everything from interfering, compulsive care (ICC), passive aggression, control, and reality denial, to violence and criminal conduct.
When you understand what causes "problem" behavior in yourself and others—when you know what's really happening during fight, flight, appease, or freeze reactions—you gain the power to keep violence from taking root in your own mind, heart, words, and actions. With down-to-earth, practical tools and understanding, you can not only prevent and calm reactivity, but truly resolve conflicts and genuinely repair the harm—building deeper connection, trust, and collective thriving.
This acclaimed workshop distills breakthrough findings from Neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, and Nonviolent Communication into powerful, practical, immediately usable tools.
Discover the neuroscience behind "crazy" behavior—why we all do it, what triggers fight, flight, appease, or freeze, and the response that actually works to interrupt the cycle.
Learn proven strategies to reduce how often reactivity gets triggered, plus powerful techniques to restore safety, calm, and choice right in the difficult moment.
Learn how to transform harm into even greater care, trust, and mutually honoring connection—turning crisis into catalyst for healing.
